some more pics

Well it has been a long time since I posted anything on here. Well it has been a crazy past 2 years. We have had a baby named Avarie in August 29th of 2007. Chrissy has graduated from FSU with a degree in Humanities. We have bought our first home in Crawfordville in December. Not to mention in that time span the Gators have won 2 basketball championships and 1 football championships. also tim tebow won the Heisman trophy. The first sophomore ever to do so. We celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversay by going out to the melting pot and seeing Narnia Prince Caspian. The pictures are from our first Christmas as a married couple and Avarie's first Easter. She is so cute.

Go Gators!!!

The Start of the college football season for the University of Florida Gators. The Gators won their opening game verus Southern Mississippi by the score of 34 to 7. Chris Leak had an outstanding game with 3 touchdowns and almost 250 yards passing. The most outstanding player of the game was probably true freshman Percy Harvin. He had a couple of outstanding plays using his quickness. Dallas "the touchdown maker" Baker according to Mick Hubert had 123 yards receiving and 2 touchdowns. The defense was outstanding as usual with 3 interceptions. The only downside was the defense had no sacks. They were playing without Marcus Thomas, Scoop, and Steven Harris who were suspended for reasons unknown.

Showdown Saturday is here and there are some big games on the schedule. So I will do my weekly picks.

Uf vs. UT florida wins 31 to 14. Sorry Vols no Rocky Top this time

FSU vs. Clemson 20 to 17 Clemson wins by a feild goal. To much offense for FSU.

Finally, my upset
pick of the week is Oregon over Oklahoma 31 to 24. Home field advantage is the difference.

Running with the Devils

As we approach on the upcoming 2006-2007 NCAA basketball season the University of Florida has a chance to do something special. They have the chance to become repeat champions. They could be the first team to repeat as champions since the 91 and 92 Duke Blue Devils. The chance was made possible when Jokaim Noah, Al Horford, and Corey Brewer decided to stay in school for their junior seasons. They were projected as first round draft picks in the June 2006 NBA draft. They turned down the fortune because they loved suiting up for the orange and the blue. I admire their willingness to turn down the money because they love playing for the Gator basketball team.

On to the topic of the day Chris Leak led the way on the All-SEC team. Leak was voted as 1st team Quarterback. Some of the others voted on the All-SEC teams were Brandon Siler, Reggie Nelson, Dallas Baker, Earl Everett, Marcus Thomas, Ray McDonald, Andre Caldwell, and a few others. I think with this group of players the Gators forecast is looking bright this season. I know they have a tough schedule but with a little luck and skill this good become a season to remember.
